Ok so just an update... #1, I'm an idiot... and I didn't originally pull the PCV last time.. I pulled something that looked nearly exactly like it but hollow lol... Ended up really replacing the pcv valve last night after looking into it a bit harder. the old one was a little clogged, but still rattled very little and didn't have good flow at all.

ALSO.. looking to find the oil leak a bit more, we looked and it seems oil is coming out of the cam seals from behind the cam gear.. it's not getting on the belt and it's barely leaking, not even enough to cause any noticeable oil loss between changes.

I'm hoping the pcv valve replacement should stop the leaking but if not, I'll probably replace the seals later when doing the timing belt.. any thoughts on this?

Also, how taut should the timing belt be?
