I got the simplified Flapatax for under $60. They are very thick and stiff urethane. They are not nice and shiny like the Rallyarmor, and the logo is a sticker you can apply if you wish.
They were marked but not drilled, but the holes he marked for the rear flaps were absolutely correct. The mounting hardware is a set of bolts with washers, rubber seals, and U-nut clips. I think the U-nut clip is how subaru mounts their OEM versions, but am not sure. Rallyarmor supplies a stainless steel bracket that is very nice from what I could see online.
Pumpkyn (that's his ID here, he is the ebay dealer and creator of Flapatax) did run out of the correct U-nuts so the ones supplied to me were no good (bolts instead of machine screws were supplied and they could not tap the U-nuts) -- so I only installed the rears for now -- however he is sending the correct U-nuts to me and will supply the correct kit for future orders. I also think he will drill the holes once we confirm for him that his placement is correct, though drilling urethane yourself isn't too big of a deal.
Is the U-nut mounting system as good as the Rallyarmor bracket? No, but they seem like they will hold the flap in place fine.
I am satisfied with the Flapatax. They are for protection of the paint, and I personally think all flaps are just a little bit fugly. These seem to be the right size for my taste and do the job they are designed to do for a fair price. The Subaru "Aero" mud guards that would have fit my Sport are style over function, and much more expensive (even more than the Rallyarmor). These offer much more protection.
By the way anyone who thinks of ordering a set from Rallyarmor or Flapatax, stealing the pattern to cut your own, and then returning them and/or then making additional ones from someone elses pattern to sell to others is 1) cheap, 2) a thief and 3) a scumbag.
If you want to make your own use cardboard to design what you want and don't steal from others. Some people use IKEA cutting boards and trim them to the shape they like, or use a single big rig rubber flap and trim it. I think it is a lot easier to just buy them from someone who already did all the work for you, though for me the $150+ Rallyarmor was more than I was willing to spend to fuglify my car. The Flapatax were the right decision for me.
