I can speak for the blizzak ws 60 as I had them for 4 seasons they are extremely good in winter weather and back roads of Vermont I switched to the altimax because they offered the same performance and were cheaper by a few bucks. The lm version if you check it on tire rack says performance tires which is mainly for the kind of winters you get in Europe which isn't New Hampshire with mountains back roads and etc when it snows in Europe everywhere shuts down heck some countries don't even have snow plows
From tire rack Performance Winter / Snow
You want enhanced dry road handling from your winter / snow tires and are willing to trade some snow and ice traction to get it.

So what is your preference sliding around roads in nh and spinning out ending up in the ditch or being able to have better traction and stopping ability choice is yours. As an FYI if you have a European car I would never recommend a performance winter as German cars in particular are terrible in the snow merc beamers the ever overconfident Quattro driver and turbo Porsche cayannes crashed on the side of the road
