What's being installed: Cobb Accessport Stage 1 93 Octane

Mileage: 5,137

Well, it happened. I told myself I wasn't going to tune the car for a while... but... I did. I caved in and got the Cobb AP so I could run a simple stage 1 93 octane tune. Nothing crazy, nothing insane. Just a little more kick in the pants at boost. Decided to hit up Built Industries again to see if they could get me what I was looking for. Sure enough, they could and got my order ready to go. I had the AP in 1 day (free overnight shipping)! I was very impressed as I never had something the next day after I ordered it. Thanks again Mike at BI! Great company!

Impressions of the AP: Very simple to use and has everything you need. I found it pretty cool it had a ton of live data logging on there so you can monitor basically everything on the car. Cool little feature. Also liked the diagnostic tool incase I had a CEL. I had that with my tune on the M3 and loved it. Glad to hear it comes with the AP as well. Loaded up the Stage 1 93 Octane toon in about 10 minutes and I was on my way

Impressions of tune: I am completely shocked. With my M, the tune was noticable, but very little. It did more smoothing out than really pushing up the gains and power. With the Cobb AP, I felt the power IMMEDIATELY! I was NOT expecting to be thrown back into the seat so hard this morning on the way to work. Couldn't believe the instant response the car gave me from the first drive. I can only imagine it will get better as the car adapts to the tune. The first pull I did the feeling of the car completely made up for the price on the AP. 100% worth it. The car felt smoother and stock at idle and start up, but once you get on it the whole car wakes up.

Overall experience: Couldn't be happier. The tune exceeded my expectations and really gave the car some pep. At full boost, it honestly feels as fast as my m3, which I was surprised at. The whole package is so worth it and really gives the car some balls. It's quick out of the box, but with the stage 1 tune, it really gives the car something to talk about. I can see myself getting addicted to this tuning stuff...

Quick question: I peaked at 17.5 PSI. Cobb says peak boost is 16.5 on the stage 1 93 tune (+-1.0psi). So I am still under the +1.0, but I figured I would mention it since I was at the top of the range. I know the TP's peak stage 1 is 18, so I figured it's ok, but just wanted to check in.

Anyhow, here are some pics I snapped of the process!
