Like I said it needs 30-40 more HP for a fluid rev range and its on like Donkey Kong. The new one just got more attractive to me and even though I critiqued the 13 it's a fine car. At some point they will have to deal very hard on remaining inventory. If they would have knocked several grand off the price I would've had a hard think about it and done some research to figure out what mods it was going to need. My dream car would be a 3dr STi for reference, a WRC inspired hatch so the R is closer to what I want but I'm not a huge fan of the traditional inline 4 motor. I would have loved to see VAG turbocharge a V6. I'd be grabbing lotion.
I must remain patient. I'm going to wait on Subaru and let the early adopters report as well as the new Golf R. I sold my STi a little too quickly and I'm going to milk the TDi for every mile of savings for the next 18 months. It's hard waiting though, very hard. I left the checkbook at home on purpose and told myself only if they offer me a ridiculous offer on my trade would I buy. It was 7/10ths of what I want so the new one at 8/10ths is going to be competing hard for my $$$.
