If you aren't worried about starting your car into a wall, you could just bypass that switch.

I can't recall if it's an open circuit or closed circuit safety, but either way, you could simply clip the wires (or crimp them together).

Not too elegant, but it'll solve your problem short term. And if you do your cuts / crimps cleanly, it shouldn't be too hard to reinstall a new switch later on.

One caveat before you do this- I think the sensor that disables the cruise control when you clutch in is a seperate unit entirely... but please verify that, and make sure you're hacking the right one.
