Disclaimer: Yeah, I've been drinking.
After spending the afternoon packing for my road trip to Southern, UT I head into the kitchen to make some dinner. I turn on the TV and there is some super cheesy Dukes of Hazard Reunion show. So, I let it run just for kicks.
I may be dating myself here, but I remember the first runs of the the Dukes. I think they may have had a part of my developing a love for dirt driving.
In '84, my grandpa had a stroke and we went back to Arkansas to be with him. I was 14 at the time, and my aunt had rented this Cadillac. She gave my 16 year old cousin the keys and he took me out driving. That was the day I learned to drive. We ran back and forth on this 5 mile stretch of dirt road at 60 all day long. Once you get that tail outmpower slide under your skin, I don't think it ever goes away.
I'm glad I bought my Subbie. You can flame away for me acting stupid, but my answer will always be," SHUT UP & DRIVE!!"
