How do different tires affect braking feel?
They don't. Notice I said braking/feel, the two are sides of the same coin, but need not have direct impact on the other. I believe I explained what I meant in subsequent paragraphs.

Unless you're prepared to check your brake lines a few times a year, SS lines aren't a good idea for street use. Use an MC brace instead. Earl's may have a new line material out that is stronger/stiffer than rubber, but I'm not sure if it can be used for brakes.
