Those containers are more for resonance than anything else. in other words, they tune out a lot of the intake sound for a quiter engine. Should be no problem at all to remove or block them off, as I'm sure you've noticed that all the aftermarket intakes have nothng like that on them. My GanzFlow is just a tube from the fender to the airbox, are is the Cobb and PDM. You might be better off waiting and getting an aftermarket intake, though, instead of modifying your stock intake, just in case you ever need to put the stock intake back on. That's what I did, and it's a good thing, too, as I have to run my Rally-X's in Open class with the Ganz intake, but Production GT with the stock intake. Definitely glad I kept the stock tubing!
