Wow, you finally let the cat out of the bag about the 245/45-16 BFG's up front.

Did you try decreasing the front strut damping before disconnecting the front swaybar? The car should have been very tailhappy with the rear struts at 8 and the front at 1 or 2 and should have rolled less than disconnecting the swaybar.

The nose also would have dove harder during braking, which may or may not have helped depending on what ABS was attempting to do.
