Subaru model: 96 2.2 L Coupe

Mods: RS suspension with larger sway bars

tire size: 205-55-15

tire model: nokian hakka Q

total cost: 4 tires, mounting, tax = 389.00

personal comments: I got four of these last winter. It takes several miles (over 200 for me) to wear off the nubbings from the tire molds. I believe this is what makes these tires feel squirly at first. Once they are broken in they are a great tire in snow, rain and slush. I have yet to skid or slip with these tires unless I provoke them. On the dry they are not much noiser than summer tires and handle nicely. I have had them up to .6g in a sweeper with no problems. Still, they are a snow tire and I wouldn't try racing on drive pavement with them. I put over 10k on them last winter and they still look almost new. I've had Blizzaks in the past and loved them for the first year and a little but then they turned into all season tires. The hakka Q's are almost as good as new Blizzaks and I'm sure they will keep running that way for three or four more years. Something the Blizzaks didn't do.
