I know Gord Olsen and know that he is one of the best (if not THE best) front drive rally driver in Canada. I guess I shouldn't have classified his roll as 'careless' since he is always pushing for a win... but for the other teams that aren't as competitive, still learning and knew about that corner, I just thought their driving around that corner was careless. Going up on two wheels and having to slow down (while risking the car) is a lot slower than taking a slightly wider line and not risking the car.
Rally is about staying in the race and finishing... there are times to push it and times to back off... I just thought that this was not one of those 'pushing it' times.
Just so you know where I'm coming from, I'm just trying to learn this stuff for myself. I've been spectating for 12 or so years, taken one rally school, NEVER driven in a rally (thus wanting to learn) and crewed for a team during this rally.
