I've been wondering about this myself.....because most of the guys I've talked to about nitrous say that it really is farily safe as long as you retard your timing enough to avoid pre-ignition. ....yet almost all of the tuning that's done WITHOUT nitrous involves advancing timing.....doesn't it?

So......if you had a Stage 2 car (up-pipe, TBE, UTEC, etc) and had it tuned for that set-up......then added nitrous......wouldn't you be losing some of the gains from the original modifications after re-tuning for nitrous?...i.e.; retarding timing?
