Default Hard Line Replacement

Hey NASIOC, Im attempting to fix the broken OEM hard brake lines in the rear of a 2007 Impreza Outback Sport wagon. I live in the Northeast and the weather and salt have not been kind. Brakes went out completely while driving a week ago. Can anyone chime in and educate me please on the specifics of the hard lines that meet at the rear passenger side union box, where the rear lines split after leaving the car's interior, just under the rear seat? IE what diameter is the stock line, what type of flare the existing OEM lines employ, and what size thread and pitch the fittings use? I'm going to attempt to cut the rotten pieces awayup to the point where the plastic coating on the existing lines begis, reflare, and reconnect. Im not sure if this is possible, but it seems doable and possibly less work than dropping the rear diff, subframe, and fuel tank to replace the lines out back. Thanks in advance.
