I agree that the stage 3 CM clutch is the best all-around clutch available for the Subaru. I'm no longer selling parts for Subarus, but of all the stage 3's we have sold, only 2 have failed before 1000 miles, and those seemed attributed to poor break-in. We are starting get calls from stage 3 owners that raced there cars on the weekends, and drove the hell out of them every day, until the clutch started to slip. None of them have been mad at all. All the owners were impressed with the amount of abuse the clutch took, and the everyday drivability of the unit. We also never got any reports of tranny damage.

Now, tranny damage I've always put in the owners hands. ACT's don't cause damage, drivers not controlling the clutch pedal cause damage, nor does any other clutch. The stage 3cm is the easiest clutch to control, and that might attribute to its abilitiy to clamp, but easy to drive, and engage for such holding power. I will say though, we purchased more clutches from clutchmasters for subarus than anyone else, and we did pass the savings on. I think Dale Teagues might be able to buy direct, but most have to go through a 2nd party distributor. We were paying wholesale and selling very cheap. Hope you can find one at a good price. They are worth the money.

Best Luck,
Shawn Gilson
