Ah ok. Yeah I had known that the catalyst only works when at hot enough temperature... but I guess that applies to the CO->CO2 conversion. So you're saying, that
at ambient temperatures, the presence of gasoline hydrocarbons mixed with O2 the catalyst causes the two to spontaneous react/burn?
I only have two quarters of Chem in my background.
