Thumbs up Cobb Tuning short shifter. Love it but have a question?

First off, I have to say that it is SHORT and that I love it! I also got the Cusco bushings with it that make the shifting very krisp. I have a question though, why are the gears so "crunchy"? I can understand that the bushing, like I said, make the shifting krisper. But I don't just feel it, I can even hear it, put in first "crunch", first to second "crunch", second to third "crunch", etc... I make sure to push the clutch all the way in but still "crunch"! Is there any thing I can do to stop this.
I'm going to grease everything up good again because the bearings are starting to rattle, will that help?
