Rod bearing number 2 is toast. Rod bearings 1 and 3 are scored. Turbocharger doesn't spin freely. They will replace short block, but I have to pay for heads to be rebuilt and cleaned and buckets to be replaced. Also doing timing belt kit and clutch and flywheel. So free labor there.
I thought the heads and turbocharger would be covered because of lack of oil from rod bearings, but guess not. Total out of pocket $3,870. Including turbocharger.

Picked up the car yesterday. Got the price down to $3,000. Would have been nice if they covered the heads and turbocharger, but really can't complain the car had almost 100,000 miles on it.
So far runs great have to bring it back in 1,200 miles for a check up.
They didn't say anything about braking in the motor or turbo.
