i agree with others about how the trip computer works...

i guess your finding makes sense although i hate the idea of leaving the car running in my garage to get things warmed up to save some fuel consumption. if the car is efficient at idle and only eating up tons of fuel while driving to do some PZEV restrictions, then your numbers would fit that model.

btw, in my warm climate, the blue light goes off within 0.5mi of my house. my car is still inefficient for quite a while more. i wish we had a real temp gauge or they had added a another wrinkle to the discrete gauge. how about solid blue for cold, blinking blue for warming up, no light for normal temp, blinking for over norm, solid red for overheat?...
