I could give you cash and have you buy the parts. I'm a reliable guy and I don't dick around (plenty of people in the area you can ask). I got a Koji headlight mod on my WRX!
Would be glad to help you out with the world of black rifles. Right it just pays to have a lot of patience. Noveske's doesn't even taking orders, CMMG stopped giving production estimates, and LMT has a 16-20 week back order. RRA, which was always 12 months backordered (
) is probably at a 2 years + now, lol
Basically you want to run the ring of reputable dealers on a daily basis and troll the black rifle websites, namely M4carbine and AR15. Signing up for e-mail notifications from BravoCompany also works. Whenever something goes in stock you have 30-60 minutes to buy before the scalpers clear it out.
If you wanted a full featured rifle RIGHT NOW, i'd get the Daniel Defense M4 right this second. It's in stock at Rainier Arms, and they're in Auburn. Since they are a famous online dealer, they don't bother with, or have a storefront, but they are very friendly to locals, and can sell locally, do background checks, etc. Only prob is they have to charge sales tax.
At $1600, the DD M4 isn't cheap. However, this rifle has all the premium features, and was spec'ed out by Larry Vickers, former Delta and the namesake of Vickers Tactical. I'd prob be able to build a similiar spec rifle for $1300-$1500, but would have to wait for some key parts. Remember that there is a $200 federal excise tax on complete rifles, vs. parts.
If you wanted, I could do the buying for you, but i think it would be a better idea if you ran the circuit yourself, as I still have a day job
PS: Larry Vickers now has a TV show, "Tactical Impact"
