1 quart/1K miles is a LOT of oil to consume. At that rate, it has to be going somewhere and leaving a tell. Leak-down would have been nice, but until you get a tester, pull the intercooler and downpipe. It could be a burned up turbo or better yet, a bad PCV valve.
As a general rule of thumb, if you have excessive oil consumption, no AOS on the planet is going to stop it. It may mask the problem, but it will not resolve it.

I'm about to change the oil so I will keep a real tab on it after that. Thanks for the input. Hoping to do the KB oil package soon!
