I kinda agree with Buck-O about lowering. I don't think anyone should be shot, but lowering an Impreza to 2" is kinda pointless. Even with aftermarket struts, wheel travel is hugely limited, roll centers get a messed up, tires rub, bumpers rip off, kidneys fail, under body scrapes, and worst of all, next time some gives you a hard time about having a Suby, you can't say. "Well mine kicks ass on gravel roads." Instead you will have to agree that your car handles like crap and reminds people of the countless Hondas running around. You might as well put a "VTEC INSIDE" sticker on your car, sit WAY to far down in your seat, and drive recklessly.
Ok I'm done. Sorry, I had to get that out. If you are gonna lower your car a bunch, at least get shorter struts too...it will help the ride quality. OR, you can get 17" rims w/o the super low profile tire to fill the gap in your wheel well. I have 16's and Rally, so I don't know exactly what size would be best to fill the gap.
