I thought about doing this a while back.. This is a fairly common practice on GN's. Especialy years back when we could not get $99 drop in walmart pumps On the GN's you would simply Y the pumps together and mount them side by side like you did. The lines where not replaced or if they where a single one was used. I was going to do all of this but then I found the HKS Cosmo pump and kinda decided that would be plenty for me.. The trouble about doing this to most WRX's is that the Fuel pump controller would probably burn out with the load of both pumps. With your direct wiring your pumps will run 100% all the time. With the Denso ECU or Link the voltage is duty is changed so at idle and cruise the pumps run low speed.
