RE71R's will probably last you two or three track days at Thunderhill, especially Thill west where turn 2 eats you front right tire.

There is a new tire to consider that is getting rave reviews, the Yokohama A052. 200tw like the Re71R but supposedly does better with heat and wear. These tires are more Autox focused though... Autox tires are different from track tires because they warm up faster and are sticky right away which usually means they wear more. Track focused tires take longer to warm up and get sticky but won't wear as fast on the track.

RE71R's/etc. Are just fine for daily driving around here, really fun on backroads too
