Ultra 94 is what I use. I never tried the stock ECU. I'm using an Apexi Power FC from Japan that is tuned for 100 RON, and I had to still pull the timing under load. If you're going to do a jspec, I wouldn't want to risk the stock ECU. Plus the speed governor kinda sux. May as well do a standalone, unless you get a euro EJ20, in which case it will run like a champ on Ultra 94.

If you must use a jdm ecu, I do suspect the stock jdm ECU will get by on Ultra 94, as I emailed Sunoco and they said it is 99 RON. It couldn't hurt to run some GTA fuel enhancer, or mix in some form of octane booster just to be safe, though.
