I'd probably take the difference in average used prices for 2015s and 2016s with similar mileage, let's say that ends up being $2000. I'm picking those years since they are the oldest in the current gen and I would probably keep my car for about 5 years. The only way I'd pull the trigger on a 2019 personally is if I could have got a dealer to discount by $2800 + $2000 off MSRP in that case. I think it would be hard to get a dealer to discount it by that much though, but that's the financial logic I would apply to it.
