Default Tires with linear/progressive breakaway

Is there a way to predict which tires have a more linear or progressive break away at the limit, as opposed to sudden falling over the cliff of traction?

My Goodyear F1 GS D3 seem to be nicely progressive and give you lots of warning that traction is "going awaaAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I'm actually finding my 215/45/17 stock RE92s aren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be (but still not great). EDITED

Or maybe you guys can suggest tires with more progressive breakaway.
