Now I'm trying to use those same valves in my new setup and I'm having a difficult time. My fear is that I'm going to have to buy all new valves since they took so much off the top of them. This wasn't something done by P&L personally, I'm 100% not bashing them by any means. The work they do up there is great. So if .510 is as big as the buckets go then it looks like I need to get some new valves.
As probably already know you can bring stem height back up a bit by having the seats cut and grinding the valve faces a little bit...There's nothing wrong with setting lash by grinding the stem tips a little bit, especially on Supertech valves, as it seems they have trouble making 2 valves in 16 the same length.
