I thought this was only necessary for fooked up, repaired cars that have front ends made of Bondo.
hmmm.. bigger spark hmmm.... I guess it really depends on what the spark consist of. Never really thought about it.. Well Voltage = Amperage x Resistance. If resistance goes down then I guess it would make a bigger spark. But this might be the case on regular distrubitor ignition vehicle becuase the spark jumps to ground.

On our car it uses DIS which have a waste spark side (+ spark and - spark). The positive spark comes out one side of the coil pack through the spark plug wires and plug then travel through the engine and reverse the fire of the spark plug back into the wires and to other side of the coil pack. So I doubt it would work too well for our car..
