On my car I have a K&N and if I floor the throttle below certain RPM it bogs down. But if I apply throttle slowly, it pulls as it should. Now I don't quite remember what at what RPM that was as I got used to NOT floor it.
With 24,000 miles, the clutch should be OK - unless you pull some heavy trailors.
