Its easy and cheap, but i think up close its not perfect. theres some thicker spots, some small holes which could be because i didnt sand the tail light enough/too much or dust falling on wet tint.
But my guess is that its because i used thin coats because i too wanted tinted, not black tails. So its my opinion that less or thin coats you will see more imperfections. More or thicker coats will even out the imperfections. Overlays are probably nicer looking.
That being said, i dont regret it. Only looks sketchy to me because Im looking for it probably.

Got pictures? I'm going to be doing them myself too with VHT Nite-Shades, did you put a clear coat or two on them afterwards or buff and polish them until they were glossy? I would prefer not to sand them though, knowing that the paint won't adhere to the taillights very well. A can would be more than sufficient for a set of taillights?
