Though I would never attempt to argue with Unabomber, I am surprised by his answer. Power makes you faster in a straight line, sure.
My point (and my idea of 'faster) is you need to stick to the ground (springs, sways, bushing, lighter wheels, sticky tires, you get the drift). All the power in the world won't get a car around a track any faster if you can't keep 4 tires firmly planted to the ground.
That being said, maybe you goal isn't to be able to get around a track quickly...? If it's just aesthetics, go with the wheels (if they're lighter than stock this will help in both of the following)---->. If you want blistering 0-60 #'s. Go power. If you wanna have more fun, go with more suspension upgrades.
