Since the VF42 is a ball bearing turbo like the VF36, I expected it would be paired with the same oil feed pipe and bolt (15192AA470 and 15194AA130) as the VF36.

However, I have found that Subaru uses the same oil feed pipe and bolt (15192AA480 and 15194AA110) witht he VF42 as the ones used with the VF37.

In other words, the S204 which comes with the VF42 (ball bearing, twin scroll) uses the same oil feed system as the standard JDM STI which comes with the VF37 (journal bearing, twin scroll). Only the JDM Spec C which comes with the VF36 (ball bearing, twin scroll) uses a different oil feed.

I thought the ball bearing turbos need less oil pressure hence the different parts for the VF36, but it is interesting that the VF42 uses the same parts as the journal bearing VF37? Any ideas why?
Yeah the banjo bolts have a different size restrictor/hole that causes less flow...
