One-Off Nissan Fairlady Z Proto Gets Stunning Orange Paint and Throwback Mods

Buyers of the new Z in Japan will have four trims to choose from, all powered by the same 400-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 we're getting here in the States. The most expensive trim, the Proto Spec model, will be limited to just 240 units nationwide. Inspired by the original Z Proto shown off in 2020, it gets the same Squid yellow paint and black accents.
U.S. buyers won't have to wait long to get their hands on a new Z themselves. First deliveries are set to begin in spring 2022, with pricing beginning at around $40,000.
