For some crazy reason I've only heard it when I start the car after work and it has been sitting for 8 hours in the parking lot. The car is parked on level ground, and I had the oil changed at 3750 miles. I also checked the oil level and its perfect.

Does this engine have solid lifters and is this a normal occurence?

By the way- LOVE the car!
I would imagine Hydraulic. Since most modern cars have those. Solid would require adjusting at specific mileage interverals. verify you have the correct oil filter also.
