For a daily driver I'd avoid the K&N. Check out bobistheoilguy or just google K&N acdelco air filter test. The difference in pressure drop between the K&N and a paper filter is around six inches of water, or 0.25 psi.

I've run K&N filters in the past on other cars. You need to make sure you put grease around the gasket. It's pretty firm and won't seal dust from leaking around the filter unless you grease it. The gaskets on paper filters is soft to prevent the problem.

I didn't grease them at first, then I noticed a thin film of very fine dust collecting inside my air cleaner. It was polished. Putting grease on the gasket solved the problem.
