I consider myself hands on. I'm setting up for a 6MT swap, and I've ordered a 3.90 gearset for the R160. I've read through the service manual on disassembling the diff, and its kinda got me spooked. the procedure is full of "Service Tools" used to insert bearings etc.
I'm wondering if anyone here has done a ring and pinion swap themselves? If so, I'm looking for some tips, and an idea of how hard it really is.
If this is something I need a service shop to do, how $$$ am I looking at?
