I didn't like the fact the fuel pump stays on priming all the time with the suggested method so I cut the positive wire and hooked it up with another relay. That 2nd relay gets an external ignition source. Stops priming when it should but still no fuel pump duty.
Sorry x2 for the late reply... I have zero current draw with ignition off using this wiring shown in image... There is 12v+ at the relay pin 85 but no current draw until FPC closes the negative side (pin 86). This method maintains the factory pump priming function and safety fuel pump shut off in the case of an accident. (because the stock FPC is driving the relay that provides power to the pump itself)
