Default Secondary Air Pump System

So this may be a silly/dumb question. I have blocked off the secondary air pump system and removed all the hardware related to it as the motor is out of the car and I figured this was the best time to do it. My stupid question is can you just block off the parts of the solenoid with the barometric pressure sensor and leave it mounted so you don't have to destroy a potentially very expensive part to get the sensor off? I only ask in case for whatever insane future reason myself or someone wants to put this system back on the car. It also looks like its a pain to cut that sensor out and would just be easier to block off what is no longer in use. I noticed in all the videos there are some wires that feed down to the solenoid they just rip out and cut off wasn't sure if that was absolutely necessary or not.

Thanks,
