A protune IS worth the money. IMO it is not for your power levels but it is not good that you are running static injectors. If you check your fuel system over and replace a few bits to find yourself still running high IDCs then it may be worth looking into.

You need to get more fuel into your engine, you can replace your fuel filter to make sure it is flowing well to start. As well as check your fuel pressures in boost (not easy if your are a novice). You could assume your pressures are good, and that flow is your problem (after the filter replacement). Replace your pump with a higher flow unit and you may see the IDCs pull down some. Don't expect the world. Non of this requires a tune, could be cost efficient, and could solve your problem but, then;

If you up your injectors you will need a tune.

If you up your injectors and your intercooler you can up your boost too, with resonable supporting mods. This too will require a tune, of course, but will also require a bigger smile when your press your right foot to the floor as well .
