Default Toyota to add awd to Camry, Avalon

If it is like nearly every other FWD based AWD Toyota, it will have a center diff lock that operates up to ~25mph before it reverts to the computer controlling the distribution front to rear. That is plenty for a sedan that just needs AWD to get out of snowy driveways and keep things pointed the right way on snowy commutes. My wife’s 2014 Rav had the same and it went great in the snow.

The new Rav4 Adventure, Off Road, and Limited have an actual torque vectoring rear diff, but I doubt the Camry will get that. That is more for light off-roading.
