Default 0W20 oil dealer service

I am scheduled for my second dealer oil/filter/tire-rotation and will ask what oil they are using... bet it is not synthetic even though the cost is an outrageous $90. I have changed my own oil for 50 years but decided to get the new Impreza serviced by the dealer for the first couple years.
1) I can consult owner manual, but ask is anyone using 0W20 full synthetic?
2) NJ is rather hot in the summer is the 20 weight sufficiently high viscosity?
3) Is there a reason to rotate the tires more than every 10,000 miles?

I estimate I can change my oil and filter, even with Mobile 1 full synthetic for under $30, a $60 savings for very little work... and no tire rotation. Then if I use a Castrol 5W30 regular oil I can trim a few dollars off the cost, but will the synthetic give better mileage, and if 0W20 even better mileage?

I drive mostly country roads, few stop lights and usually low traffic. I get about 34 mpg. I don't know what the 2017 Impreza will give me on the highway on long distance trips... hope closer to 40 mpg.
