I decided to post my .02 on the 2.0L WRX

Keep in mind all of the Subaru World Rally cars (I think even the new USA rally cars) use the 2.0L engine (granted its highly modified).

Also if you can keep your foot from stomping on the smile pedal all of the time you will get much better gas mileage than the 2.5L. Actually you will probably get better mileage than any other 300+whp car. On long trips when my girlfriend drives my car will average 29mpg.

This is my setup, that I have been beating the out of for over 50k.
Do the Mods right and keep with with the maintenance and these cars will last you a long time.

...however I am having a boost fluctuation problem and I am leaking quite a lot of oil (I think valve cover gaskets).
