^^^Glad to hear you still have it...such a clean example of an RS! I just picked up a 00' RS sedan for my winter car / DD. I was shocked at how fun they are stock! Mine does have a Forester 4:44 trans /rear diff which makes it a little more snappy.



In other news, I got to go to MPS today and do the "build your own" program..... a dream come true for me. It felt like Christmas morning and going to Disneyland all wrapped into one!

There's the MAN himself...Craig Woolman of MPS. The baddest builder in the land!




These are the MPS +2 rods of old before the newer H-Tuff +2. These are known to stay together in 600whp motors, so they will be plenty for me. They also have really nice ARP L19 rod bolts in them!




Lots and lots of measuring, and recording, and crunching numbers with the calculator.




Removing the torque-plates after more measuring




Filing the rings one by one, making sure the gaps are perfect, and making sure everything stays organized and with the correct bore.




Mating the two halves together....it's a little tricky on long-rod 75mm stroke engines. Learned lots of tricks from the grandmaster today!




All done!
