Exclamation Compression?

Hi!

I've got a problem with my car.

It's Subaru Impreza 1998 Sedan with manual transmission with 126K miles on it. It's not a WRX. My car has EJ22 Engine.

The problem is - once I changed oil in the engine - car doesn't go smooth - it's shaking on all gears between 1600 and 2500 rpms. Once it gets to 2500 it runs smooth. I solved this problem this way: every oilchange I put this stuff.
It's called "engine restorer" from http://www.restoreusa.com/ . After this it runs good but problem comes again after new oilchange.

I use regular oil. First time this happened after JuffyLube oilchange.

Tomorow I'll get the device to measure the compression in cylinders. What normal level is? What to do, if the compression level below normal mark?
Should the check engine light come up while i measure the compression? If yes - how to disable it?

Thank you for your answer.

P.S. Sorry for my english.
