they do it because they make enough torque so that the the body of the car twists as it lifts the front of the car/weight transfers.

removing the fsb lets the front end lift up more naturally and in the back they use anti roll bars like this one http://chassisengineering.com/products/908.jpg

it has no flex where a sway bar would have some flex. keeps the rear end level.

subarus that makes that kind of torque are definately few and far between. so for all intents and purposes, its safe to say its a waste of time to think of how swaybars will affect your subaru in drag racing.
