Ever driven 1000mi at 65mph on New Zealand?


No matter how tightly you wrap the car cover, it's going to shift around in 65mph wind, work its way loose and scuff the paint.
The worst I did was 80kph for about 15km holding onto a matress on the roof cos I didn't trust my knots! True, we don't have enough straight road to do that consistently.

I reckon if the rope it tight enough around the wheel spokes it should be okay. If the cover is big enough, you can also tape it to the underside edge of the car.
