New(to me) turbo vs. stock

IWG Will be coming off and a block off bracket will be fitted prior to install.

Before I pulled the Intake manifold, I did a comp. leak down test. It wasn't while the motor was warm unfortunately, but I feel as if I might have had good results.

Cyl #1- 22-24% LD
Cyl #2- 24-26% LD
Cyl #3- 20-22% LD
Cyl #4- 24-26% LD

Seems the drivers side read the same, while cyl. #3 showed the strongest.


Car has 160k currently.

I pulled the passenger side timing belt cover and took a peak at the timing belt. It looked new, and no signs of oil/fluid.



I'm curious as if I should get new Plugs. All of those looked normal, nothing out of the ordinary build-up. They have roughly 10-15k on them. Thought about doing the timing belts if I had to do the Valve covers too as it seems like I might have a slight gasket leak on both sides of the valve covers. Im torn. The belt looked good. If I wanted to get into the timing belts, Id try and justify a bigger/better oil pump and or pick up, so Im not even going there At this time at least. If the belt goes that will justify a new set of heads!
