I'm at 38,400km now and have gone through a couple service intervals. Oil changes and general service is every 6,000km and runs about $45 tax in. At 24,000km they did a brake system teardown, an more thourgh inspection, and some other junk. That ran me $230, it was part of the regular service plan. At 48,000km I've got a $400+ service waiting for me. I belive it includes brake fluid flush, emission system inspection and replacement of wear parts and all that stuff. Generaly another chance from then to get you to bend over. Thing is though, the dealers count on these high dollar intervals (24k, 48k, 72k...) and you can use them as some serious leverage. If they aren't adressing an issue you want them to, or if they're refusing to warranty a part, mention to them that you plan to do your major service at another dealer. They smarten up pretty fast.
