Some have them some don't.
My 99rs and 2000 sti both had one, my 96wrx does not have one.

toupedave, check your pedal box at the clutch pedal for the small black switch that detects when you push the pedal in all the way. there is a little plastic pad that clips onto the pedal and presses the switch. sometimes the pad wears out or breaks and falls off, making it very hard to press the switch. or something could be a little bent and the switch isnt being pressed for some other reason.

All manual cars? Seriously? I guess you've never touched a car pre 2000.
My 96 wrx doesn't have said switch, my 91 Skyline doesn't. There may be a cutoff year where they are required to have it.
